- Conduct of the players as per MCC Law 42 and E&DCL will be implementing stringent measures to avoid aggressive behavior of players towards the umpires and the other players.
- Captains are responsible for the behavior and discipline of the team. Captains need to maintain that any of their players should not be violating or commit any offence which comes under MCC Law 42.
- Umpires shall arrive at the ground at least 30 mins prior to the start of the game in the uniform and are required to debrief the captains about the disciplinary actions, duties of Striker’s End Umpire (SEU) where the league does not provide 2 umpires.
- Umpires shall NOT take any of the player’s hats/caps, sweater, jacket, goggles etc.
- Umpires shall consider the proper allowances in the game for time lost and impose the penalties afterwards.
- Captains are requested to provide a competent person as a Striker’s End Umpire (SEU) in the T20 and 40 over games except for Elite & Premiere division games where league appointed umpires are available and the Striker’s End Umpire (SEU) should strictly adhere to the duties and the decision should be unbiased. The Striker’s End Umpire (SEU) should not be carrying any water bottles and the equipment of the batter and should not be helping the batter in any aspect & shall not be scoring in the app. The Bowler’s End Umpire (BEU) should warn that this practice is unacceptable if the Striker’s End Umpire (SEU) continues it, when the ball is dead the Bowler’s End Umpire (BEU) should direct the captain of the batting side to remove the Striker’s End Umpire (SEU) and replace with a new umpire. The game shall be awarded to opposition if the batting side captain refuses it.
- Home team shall setup the ground before the toss (this includes – 3 stumps and 2 bails at each end, boundary markers – cones/flags), failure to adhere to this by the scheduled time of toss, the toss will be awarded to the opposition by default.
Failure to setup the ground by the scheduled start of play, umpire shall award the game to the opposition and shall report to the governing body.
- If any time the Bowler’s End Umpire (BEU) ensures that the Striker’s End Umpire (not appointed by league, who is part of batting team) clearly refusing any appeal for Stumped Out or Run Out and unnecessary calling no balls for a delivery which is not above the waist height; the Bowler’s End Umpire (BEU) can overturn the Striker’s End Umpire (SEU)’s decision.
- MCC Law 42 shall be implemented strictly implemented by the umpires and the players should adhere to it. Umpire can suspend players for 1/5th of the allotted overs for Level 3 and entire game for Level 4 offence. No substitute shall be allowed in place of suspended player.
- No player or team’s management shall enter into the field of play in case of any conflict this means no other person shall be allowed except the fielding team, batters at crease, umpires (player from batting side if league appoints only 1 umpire). If such offence occurs umpire(s) shall report it to the league officials in writing within 24 hours of the incident and necessary disciplinary action shall be taken by the league against the players.
- Umpire(s) shall strictly follow the timed-out procedure if an incoming batter doesn’t take the stance within the time which is 90 seconds in a T20 game and 2 minutes in 40 & 50 overs game.
- The current ICC playing conditions (December 2023 edition) shall be followed in this season.
- The Inbuilt Duckworth Lewis system in the Cricheroes will be followed.
- Scorer shall enter details related to DLS according to Umpire’s guidance.
- Applying saliva to the ball is considered as changing the condition of match ball:
- First offense in the inning: Warning to captain and the team (this warning applies to the team) & ball should be sanitized.
- Second offense in the same inning: Award 5 runs penalty to the batting side & ball should be sanitized.
- Third offense in the same inning: Suspension of player & ball should be sanitized. No substitute shall be allowed.
- Fourth offense in the same inning: Game will be awarded to opposition if the offending team captain refuses to follow above mentioned procedure.
- An excessive taping on the fielder’s palm and fingers are NOT recommended. Fielders are allowed a minor taping to the fingers and such kind of taping should be approved by the umpires. Umpires can allow such kind of taping as long as it doesn’t have any adhesive exposed to outside that may provide an unfair advantage to the fielder in fielding the ball. All the taping should be allowed /disallowed under the discretion of the umpire. Skin colored tape and/or bandage is recommended. Any kind of white colored tape in bowler’s bowling arm shall NOT be permitted.

- Elites and Premiere division matches – 2 umpires are provided from the E&DCL.
- Each umpire will take control of the ball which is being used from their end throughout the inning.
- All other division matches – 1 umpire is provided from the E&DCL.
- An umpire will take control of both balls but will keep it separate for each end throughout the inning.
- Best Practices for an Umpire to either keep a separate bag for each sided ball and use the clip to hold it OR keep the ball (which is not in the use for that side) in the pocket.
- Do NOT switch the ball for either end.
- Do NOT give both the balls together to any player from the fielding team at any time.
- Do NOT show both the balls together to the batter at any time.
- If the ball condition of either end gets damaged, then use the other ball (3rd ball) with similar conditions for that end only.
NOTE: No changes for T20.
